Set in a wintry New Zealand coastal town, Lexi is the poignant story of a young woman’s struggle to gain acceptance and the challenges she faces to achieve her dream.
By day, Lexi’s cleaning job places her under the wrath of an aging, resentful woman who seems bent on demeaning her. Lexi shares a small, rundown flat with her gambling-addicted sister, but she has plans for a better future. Haunted by her own past failures, Lexi’s routine is interrupted by a chance meeting with Cody, a brash young man. Cody offers to drive Lexi over the distant snow-capped mountains so she can pursue her dreams, but their brief friendship is tarnished by Cody’s own chequered past. |
